Data Access for UGA Users
Data about the professional activities is collected in the FAR to make it available to University users to support a variety of needs, including formal and informal reporting for internal and external audiences.
Responsibility for Assigning Access
The UGA FAR Administrator has responsibility for assigning, managing, and renewing access rights to the FAR data.
Access for University-wide Offices
In keeping with the above purpose, access to view University-wide data in FAR should be assigned on request to faculty and staff who hold positions in offices or on committees with University-wide responsibilities and who demonstrate a work-related need to view and use data about UGA faculty activities. Offices and committees with University-wide responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Office of Senior VP for Academic Affairs and Provost and suboffices
Office of the Senior VP for Finance and Administration and suboffices
Office of the Senior VP for External Affairs and suboffices
Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach and suboffices
Office of the Vice President for Instruction and suboffices
Office of the Vice President for Research and suboffices
University Council Executive Committee and standing Subcommittees
Program Review and Assessment Committee
In general, access to University-wide FAR data will continue as long as the person requesting access continues in the position on which the request was based. However, access rights are subject to review and renewal on a regular basis to be determined by the UGA FAR Administrator.
Process for Requesting AccessIndividuals will submit requests for access to University-wide FAR data to the UGA FAR Administrator at via fax at (706) 425-3200 using the FAR Access Request Form
